DELIVERING DENTAL CARE

Through public-private partnerships, we deliver effective community-based primary dental care services to the most underserved communities in Costa Rica.

Expanding Access

Many Costa Ricans, for various reasons, lack access to critical preventive care.

Oral health care is challenging for many Costa Ricans to access. Cost of care is one key barrier. Others include a shortage of nearby providers, transportation issues, and cultural and emotional hurdles.

Without expanding access, we will never realize a future where equitable systems promote better oral health, allowing every person to reach their full potential.

Obstacles and Costs to Access

For Many Costa Ricans living in areas with a shortage of dental professionals, costs of care and inadequate transportation, as well as lack of job flexibility impede their ability to schedule regular dentist appointments.

When people don’t receive dental care, both oral health and overall health can easily deteriorate, therefore treatment becomes costly and can disrupt more urgent needs in a time of crisis.

The good news is that our innovative preventative clinic model provide a path to expand access for everyone, everyday, everywhere in the San Jose areas.

We're reimagining oral care delivery . . .

Better access to preventive care for underserved populations.
